Oihan Sancet (simply known as “Sancet”), born on April 25, 2000, in Pamplona, Spain, is a Spanish professional football player who plays as an attacking midfielder. In 2015, he moved from Osasuna’s youth academy to Athletic Bilbao’s youth system. He made his debut for Athletic Bilbao B in 2018. During the 2019–20 season, he was promoted to the first team; in August 2019, he made his La Liga debut, and in June 2020, he scored his first La Liga goal. In January 2022, he recorded a hat-trick in a match against Osasuna, helping his team stage a comeback. This made him the first Athletic Bilbao player to achieve a league hat-trick since 2016, as well as the youngest player to do so since 1994 and the first player from Navarre to score a hat-trick against Osasuna. In April 2023, he signed a contract extension with the club, keeping him until 2032. He made his debut for the Spain U21 team in October 2019. At the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, he helped his team finish as runners-up. In October 2023, he was called up to the senior Spain national team for the first time, coming on as a substitute in a UEFA Nations League qualifier against Scotland.
